The Residence is located on Dover Crescent in Mississauga, Ontario, main intersection is The Collegeway and Winston Churchill Blvd.  The bus stop is a five-minute walk down the street.

There are three fully furnished common rooms, two full kitchens with fridges, stoves, ovens, dishwashers, microwaves, toasters and kettles.  There is access to on-site laundry facilities on the main floor.

Each bedroom has a secure door lock and comes fully furnished with a bed, dresser drawers, night table and lamps, computer desk, chair, book shelves and closet.  Some rooms have a private or semi-private bathroom and walk-in closets.   Each room is assigned a name. The kitchen cupboards, refrigerator, freezer space and mailboxes are identified accordingly.

We ask students to respect the space and privacy of everyone else and to demonstrate a cooperative spirit whenever possible. Some housemates are on non-traditional schedules. This means everyone must conduct themselves respectfully and avoid making noise whenever possible. It is both fair and appropriate that things should be quiet after 11:00 p.m.

You will be given a secure access code to the residence. For safety reasons, this code is not to be given to anyone. To ensure the safety of our students and to preserve the academic integrity of the residence environment and the security of the building, no visitors are permitted except for parents.

Students accepted into Mississauga Student Residences agree to contribute to the regular maintenance of the residence: taking the garbage out and cleaning up after yourself.   Our staff are on call and ready to help in any way we can!

MSR COMMON SPACE

“I lived at Mississauga Student Residences for my final two years of University….my only regret is that I wish I had moved in sooner!  I lived my first year at the University of Toronto Mississauga Residence, and my second year at an external student residence location. So I do have a well-rounded opinion on places to live for students in the area. That being said, please believe me when I say there is no other place like Mississauga Student Residences. I loved my experience living here for many reasons. You're close to two different institutions. You are literally a 20 minute commute (at the most) from the University of Toronto Mississauga and Sheridan College Trafalgar Campus. You're also in a clean environment with actual organization and structure. The tenants are pre-screened to ensure only respectful and mature students are living with you.

The staff at Mississauga Student Residences are all lovely and have a way to make you feel at home right away. The owner continuously creates opportunities for the students to get together and interact in a fun way. I have gained lifelong friendships from the positive environment that is created at Mississauga Student Residences, and I cannot say enough good things!

I was just as sad leaving Mississauga Student Residences as I was from my own home four years ago. So please, look no further. If you haven't already, take the opportunity to meet with the wonderful team at Mississauga Student Residences and see the beautiful residences for yourself. You will not regret it!” - Lucy

“I stayed at Maureen’s Dover Residence for 4 years.  When I came to Canada as an international student, it was overwhelming and I just wanted a safe, quiet and nice place to stay.  Maureen’s house was the best choice for me.  It was always clean since we had a cleaning lady and my four years of university went by fast since the place felt like home.  Maureen is a very good person, she helped me a lot since I was new to the country and the culture was different.  Maureen always cared for me and made sure I was happy in the residence.  Thank you Maureen for being an awesome lady!  I enjoyed living at Dover Residence.”  -  Shena

“I am thinking about the past year and about those who had a big influence on my life…Maureen, you are one of them!!  I told you several times and can only say it again; you were one of the few reasons why my Canadian experience has been such a great one!  For giving me a home, being so supportive as a landlady and as a friend far away from my home.   I would like to thank you.” - Lots of Love,   Kathryn

“Thanks for everything you've done for me! I miss living at the Dover Residence! I genuinely do. Maureen is an excellent lady! I was an international student in my fourth year when she took me in at the Dover residence. I’d heard so many horror stories from my peers about living with landladies and I didn’t know what to expect. Also, security was a large concern for me at the time because I’d been living on residence for 3 years since I moved to Canada and there was always campus police for security. Maureen screens potential students and that won me over in terms of security. I trusted her judgment and I haven’t regretted it since. I decided to move in after I met her -she was extremely professional, pleasant, and pretty. In addition to that, the residence fees were extremely reasonable for the amenities she provided – high speed internet, garbage bags, toilet paper, kitchen towels, plates, cutlery, utensils and even a cleaning service every week. This was ALL included in the fees I paid! It was extremely convenient for me because, as a student, I had so much to do and replacing toilet paper, kitchen towels and garbage bags was something that easily slipped my mind.

Once I moved into the Dover Residence with Maureen, it was a joy ride. It was the best decision I’d ever made. The day we moved in she left us brownies and doughnuts. She always gave us goodies throughout the year. She was very understanding and really made me feel like I was home. This was very important for me as my family was 7000 miles away. She threw us barbecue parties by the pool in the summer – we were like a little family. She was always ready to help me out and I always felt comfortable to talk to her about anything. I was very honest with her and that went a long way for me! I ended up living with Maureen for 2 years and then some. I will always miss living there and I have made some of the best memories while living in her house. I would recommend it to ANYONE who’s looking for a safe, fun and comfortable living environment 50 times over and over and over. Thank you, Maureen, for everything” – Sara

“Thank you for hosting the special dinner for the kids and I'm certain you've added one more wonderful day to their lives and companionship. Chi tells us each time you gave her buns, cookies, and other goodies. When she feels the caring and kindness, she thrives on them.  So, again, thank you.” –  Regiz (parent of students from Vietnam)

“I’ve been living at the Dover Residence for over a year now and I am so thankful for finding this place! Maureen provides all you need, from kitchen utensils to furniture for the bedroom and living room.  Everything is clean and living with other roommates is well organized which benefits all. Maureen has always been fair and helpful. Here it is easy to feel home so far away from home!” – Kathrin

“I have known Maureen for about 3 and a half years now and have lived in her residences on and off, whenever they have been available. I have also dealt with a number of landlords over the past 5 years since I moved to the GTA and am confident in saying that Maureen has been the most professional and reliable of anyone I have done business with. Not only has she always been able to provide explicit and straight forward lease contracts that provide comfort and support on each side of the agreement, but she has always treated me and all of her other students as if they were her own kids. Her constant care and assistance with helping students adjust to the off campus student life has resulted in myself and my roommates to feel extremely safe and comfortable. The rooms and homes she provides are always extremely well maintained and secured and, not to mention, they are beyond beautiful.  Maureen always does her best to make sure that her students have all the basic necessities to feel at home, such as with new utensils, pots, pans, etc., and even supplies students with other basic needs such as toilet paper and paper towels. Most of the students who move here are from out of town, so having these supplies immediately available to us not only helps us save time, travel, and money, but it also allows us to focus more on school without worrying about running to the store. Relatedly, Maureen also offers a cleaning service in her residences, which also permits the students more time to themselves and to school. Having Maureen as a landlady has been a wonderful experience and has led me to feel completely at home, which is an extremely important quality to have in a student residence, especially when you’re family lives out of town. Further, she is a very pleasant woman to talk with and is always willing to do whatever it takes to help her students feel cared for. I would highly recommend Maureen as a landlady and her residences as ideal places to live for students and working professionals.”  -  Alyssa

"Thank you for throwing a wonderful New Year party. Chi thoroughly enjoyed it.  She had a memorable first home away New Year for sure.  Both kids are happy with their new lives in Canada, and you’re a part of Chi’s."
