COLONIAL
The Residence is located on Colonial Drive in Mississauga, Ontario, the main intersection is The Collegeway and Colonial Drive. The bus stop is a one-minute walk, across the street from the front door of the residence. The private back yard is fenced in with a patio table and lounge chairs and backs on to a forest with walking and bike trails.
There are two furnished common rooms, a large kitchen and access to on-site laundry facilities on the main floor. Each bedroom has a secure door lock and comes fully furnished with a bed, dresser drawers, night table and lamps, computer desk and book shelf and closet space. Most rooms have a private or semi-private bathroom and walk-in closets. Each room is assigned a name. The kitchen cupboards, refrigerator, freezer space and mailboxes are identified accordingly.
We ask students to respect the space and privacy of everyone else and to demonstrate a cooperative spirit whenever possible. Some housemates are on non-traditional schedules. This means everyone must conduct themselves respectfully and avoid making noise whenever possible. It is both fair and appropriate that things should be quiet after 11:00 p.m.
You will be given a secure access code to the residence. For safety reasons, this code is not to be given to anyone. To ensure the safety of our students and to preserve the academic integrity of the residence environment and the security of the building, no visitors are permitted except for parents.
Students accepted into Mississauga Student Residences agree to contribute to the regular maintenance of the residence: taking the garbage out and cleaning up after yourself.

I’ve been renting from Mississauga Student Residences for three years now and it’s the best place I’ve rented. Maureen is such a great landlady and really cares about her relationship with the students. She is more than a landlady to me, she has helped me with personal issues which I’m really grateful for. “I have been renting from Mississauga Student Residences for four years. I would recommend these accommodations to university or college students who are dedicated to their studies. Mississauga Student Residences are located in a quiet, safe and family oriented neighborhood with access to public transit and close to amenities, such as grocery stores, shopping malls, fitness clubs, and a municipal recreation center. The Residence is well maintained with the common areas and bathrooms being cleaned on a weekly basis and property maintenance as needed. Students are encouraged to be respectful of one another by observing quiet hours from between 11 pm and 7 am, which helps to promote a sense of harmony. This accommodation has been a peaceful, secure and comfortable place for me to call home. I have had a very positive experience, and formed lasting friendships with other residents. “Maureen provides a wonderful living environment. Her Residences are grand and provide lots of living space for all of the tenants. Maureen provides cleaning services and supplies and tries to meet every students requests as best as possible. The rules that Maureen has outlined for all the tenants to follow are greatly appreciated. They allow for optimal study time for students and allow the peace and quiet for those who may need it. There is lots of storage space that Maureen provides for tenants in the kitchen (i.e. cupboards, refrigerator), and in each students room with the furniture that she provides. Maureen also provides the feeling of security as she has taken great measures to make everyone feel safe within her homes. She stresses the importance of keeping the windows and doors locked, and also not telling anyone the security codes for opening the door to the residence and also by having all the students access through the side door to avoid any failure of security. Maureen is very easily accessible either through email or her cell phone and will come to solve any request as soon as possible. Maureen also communicates frequently through email so that all of the students are knowledgeable of any changes that may be occurring in the residence or of any maintenance being performed within the home. Overall, Maureen’s homes are very comfortable. She provides great homes for students who need a safe, healthy, and quiet home to reside in.
